Subject: Kids Cartoons Time: 12:49 pm

I was reflecting on how crappy most kids cartoons are today. Thinking how we have to be so PC with our television because no one wants to expose their "little snowflakes" to such things. Has anyone watched Camp Lazlo? IT SUCKS. Worse yet, it's made by the same guy who made Rocko's Modern Life! Hell, alot of the same people do voices for Camp Lazlo. By comparison, to Rocko, this show has nothing, just weird annoying silliness. Rocko had craploads of interesting things that were subtle, or... maybe less subtle innuendos, such as the Chokey Chicken. Or probably the most memorable of all, that episode where Spunky falls in love with a mop. My other favorite has to be the Spank the Monkey bit. Of course, many can't forget the ep where Heff and Filb pose as Mr. Bighead, and tell the Conglomo staff to says, "Wee wee", over and over and over. I don't know. It's not like I've only watched 1 ep of Lazlo. I see it frequently on CN. and still force myself to watch, in hopes of some tiny bit of a reference that kids wouldn't get. Well. Crap. Not every kids show sucks today, as I've seen a few that show promise. Lots of Promise. Chowder for example. It's wacky as hell looking, yet it does one thing I've seen that amused the hell outta me. Deal with Pepper Spray. Yesh, I uploaded that video myself. There's also a Katamari Damacy spoof on the show, complete with slightly off Katamari theme. Hard as hell to find though, since CN effectively clamped down on Youtube. I imagine my own clip only has about 2 wks to live. We'll see. The bottom line of it all is, why the hell do people want to protect their children all that goddamn much? It's inevitable, that their "precious little untainted snowflakes" will become more worldly, and learn of many of these things. Why not make it hilarious when they do? Though, this whole protecting children thing doesn't only apply to shows but just general paranoia and standards that overall, kill fun or individuality. Eh,I don't see this ever going down, with this paranoid overhyped media we have, or with our Sue Crazy culture. yess... The TV Flood is coming... Maaaann, I love when shows come back in the fall, it's always something to look forward to. Starting with this Friday, for those of you who know and care what's comin on at 8:30. That aside, I've started a new co-op, for those of you who don't know (though, a fair amount I've already told, but I'm just saying it to get it out). I'm working at RochesterWorks in downtown roch as the IT Intern. I fix computers n stuff. No Biggie. $12 dollars an hour for it is decent though. Last week, I had my own cubicle. It was ok. Starting this week, I got moved into a office with my boss. meh. oh well. No more websudoku for me. The unsettling thing I always come up with when I go on co-op is, Do I actually want to do this for the rest of my life? Ah well. Monotony continues. And, work means I'll be writing here more frequently again.

I notice... that I don't really ever feel like updating when I'm at school. I just don't. Felt like it alot more when I was working. School, just kinda sucks. That's about it. My computer is still dysfunctional. Got the new motherboard, left the retention mechanism for the heat sink on the old one... Needed to replace that... Found out the Graphics card is also busted. Waiting on XFX to get through and let me RMA the bastard. I hate computers. Next thing ya know, the CPU's just gonna explode randomly. Oh. Random other thought, for this class, my team made an Ad for a fake washer/dryer system that's all Futuristic and crap. Course, the Ad has almost nothing to do with the product, but it's still amusing. Movie! Meanwhile... ( ZOMG! It's an LJ Cut! What a surprise! )

INTERNETS! NEED! ... damn RR. damn labor day. I have to pass by the Time Warner shop on Tuesday to go pick up my cable modem n box. TVs and INTERNETS! I'm a sad sad panda with out my internets. In other news, I broke the power button some how in the moving process on my computer. I don't know how. Nor do I know how to fix it because I'm inherently bad at small tiny electronic crap. *sad* Oh well. At least my room looks decent. If I still had a decent digital camera, I'd take pix. but I hate mine, and thus don't care. I want my computer fixed. and my internets back. All day yesterday I watched movies outta boredom. Sifted thru my roommate Dave's dvds. Speaking of which, Dave... seems to never be there. Whatev. I am kinda lonely tho. Oh well.

Things I learned: Don't argue/say retardedly queer things through your company email with people. Mail from Nigeria/African countries is bad. Spam ain't all about bigger penises! Snopes.com is very neccessary for checking those crappy chain letters people send. Please. If you decide to forward a letter. at least verify it. And clean up all the forwarded crap from the top. No need for that shit. I also learned that I don't want to do a job like this where the workers do more than 50 hrs a week. That's a shitty life. Some ppl are tied to their phones and computers. I... think that's all the important stuff. It was a good experience overall. Things I'll Miss: Being busy. Reading other people's mail. Denying other people mail. Ultimate power(Administrator access) to a multi-national companies' mail system. Interesting people who I work with. Things I won't Miss: People I worked with who suck. Some work I had to do that sucked. And... Driving in rush hour traffic! I F'ING HATE DRIVING PERIOD! So. There. That's my first internship in a nutshell.

So, It's the last day.... in 4 or so hours... I'll be FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! My supervisor has sent back his review with good notes :) and I've sent in my co-op files etc. I'm training my co-workers how to do the things I do daily :) I feel important! Sorta!

Anyone remember that show Ghostwriter? I remember being scared of that show, as a child. Then again, I was pretty much scared of ET also. I mean, those words just appeared on random shit so creepily. A few years later, I saw a few episodes on some kid channel, Noggin. They were decent. Just kinda funny thinking that the creepy writing scared me. In other news, I've just realized that I have to go home and clean up my basement. TO THE BASEMENT! in... an hr and 15 mins.
